Atkinson Clock Tower

A standout amongst the most continuing points of interest in Kota Kinabalu, it stands noticeably on a feign along Signal Hill Road nearby the old Police Station. Worked in 1905, this all-wood, no-nails structure was inherent memory of Francis George Atkinson-the well known first District Officer of Jesselton amid the British North Borneo Chartered Company Administration.

This Clock Tower has the qualification of being the most seasoned standing structure in the entire of Sabah that survived the pulverization of Jesselton town amid World War II. Till today, regardless it serves to keep the city’s opportunity.

The Atkinson Clock Tower is overseen by the Sabah Museum under its Antiquity and History segment.
